Inside Out is such a popular film that children are still demanding for all of the Inside Out goods and have even requested a party! So, to assist with my party planning, I created the Ultimate Inside Out Movie Party Guide
Party Decorations
Inside Out was a fun and easy theme to do, because you can get away with doing a lot just with rainbow colors. Because the memory orbs are small circles, anything with polka dots works really well. I got this polka dot rainbow table cloth for the dessert table.
I had also recently been given a felt letter board, so I chose an Inside Out quote to put on it and use to decorate. Finally, I had all of the Inside Out tsum tsums and a Pop Vinyl of Disgust, so I used those on a few different tables throughout the basement.
For our main food table I wanted to divide it in sections by color, because I had colored food and drink items to go with each of the emotions. I got a tablecloth in each color and hung them so they draped down the wall and onto the table.
Party Foods Ideas
The themed food table is the most significant aspect of my celebrations. I like how the meal ties everything together. Again, there weren’t many Inside Out themed food ideas online, so here’s what I came up with:
Mac & Cheese
Mac & Cheese is a favorite of all kids and the yellow color was perfect to match up with Joy!
Turns out that if you use white cheddar and just add food coloring you can make it any color you want! And since she is sad, it seemed fitting to do comfort food. When you’re down, a little blue mac and cheese might just be what you need.
Disgusting Pizza
In the movie, Disgust is pretty grossed out by the broccoli pizza they find in San Francisco, so of course broccoli pizza was a must for the party. I didn’t actually order broccoli pizza though. Instead I drew broccoli on the boxes of red sauce pizza we ordered from Crugnale Bakery. If you’re ever in Rhode Island, you must try this pizza! Yummy!!
Chourico & Peppers
Chourico & Peppers is always a hit with my big Portuguese family, and what better to pair up with Anger than some spicy chourico?
Popcorn
We were going to be showing the movie, and what better way to do that than with popcorn? Joy’s food choice was easy – yellow buttered popcorn worked well and was a big hit.
