Who is Pusheen?
On Facebook, Instagram, iMessage, and other social media platforms, Pusheen is the topic of comic strips, plush toys, vinyl figures, sticker sets, and more. Claire Belton and Andrew Duff created Pusheen in 2010 for their Everyday Cute website as a comic strip. The Pusheen character has recently appeared in social media posts as well as on the Pusheen blog.
Pusheen is a fictitious female cat who enjoys blogging, munching, and going on adventures, according to her description. Belton, Duff, their dog Carm (short for “Carmen”), and Pusheen, a chubby grey tabby cat fashioned after Belton’s cat who now lives with her parents in Oregon, were all featured in the original comic strip series. The name Pusheen is derived from the Irish word puisne, which means kitten.
Pusheen Party Ideas
Kitty-obsessed children will delight in a Pusheen-themed party that will have everyone purring. With plenty of cat-themed birthday party materials, a Pusheen birthday party may be incredibly cute and simple to throw.
A Pusheen-themed birthday party is fun any time of year, and preparing one isn’t as difficult as you would think. Here are a few suggestions for having a howling good time.
Where to host a Pusheen Party?
A cat birthday party is a one-of-a-kind theme. If your child adores cats, a Pusheen-themed birthday party is a must.
Look around your neighborhood to discover if there are any cat cafes. A cat cafe is a wonderful spot to throw a party, and the proceeds are frequently used to fund rescue cat adoptions. Your little feline will have a blast at home or at a venue with our cat party ideas.
Pusheen Party Decorations
Making the Pusheen milk carton gifts (filled with chocolates and confetti), making Pusheen bonbons, and, of course, all of the other paperie and decorations for the dessert table, can be a lot of fun.
All of the sweets on the table were enhanced by the use of the pretty pedestals, cake stand and marble plates. Ruby Rabbit Party provided you with a beautiful pink feather bunting and honeycomb balls.
Pusheen Birthday Cake Ideas
You can use any cake batter you choose. Perhaps vanilla, but whatever you like will suffice. Have two different sized oven-safe round glass Tupperware containers. Make a larger one for Pusheen and a smaller one for his cake. This recipe can be made in any size circular pan you have. The larger your pan, though, the more layers you’ll need to bring Pusheen to the appropriate height proportions.
Stack four of your larger cakes together with cream cheese icing between each layer to construct Pusheen bodies. Then shaved the top of her head to give her a more pointed appearance. Make infill for the sections of his body that aren’t quite fat enough with your last giant cake. Cut the cake into half moons, then cut the half moons again to wrap around the cake tower’s base. Scrapes were stacked on top of his skull if there were any left over.
Stack the two smaller cakes on top of each other, icing between them, and coat the entire outside with icing. Cover the cake in white fondant, then add blue to the top to make it look like it’s dripping with frosting.
Pusheen’s body is covered in dark gray stripes. To obtain the stripe color, apply additional black dye to your leftover body coloured fondant. Cut two huge stripes for his back, four medium stripes for her tail, and three small stripes for his head out of the fondant. Brush water onto Pusheen’s body with a clean paintbrush to seal her stripes.
Pusheen has the sweetest face ever, and it’s also the easiest to imitate. Roll spherical balls out of her striped fondant and place on eyeballs.
For his mouth, roll a long narrow tube into the shape of a “3.”
Take four toothpicks and crack them a couple times down the length of the whiskers. They resembled curved whiskers. You could paint them and stick them in with food dye.
Pusheen’s cake can be decorated in any way you like. Look for a photo of Pusheen with a birthday cake to serve as inspiration for this real cake. Simply roll fondant into balls and cut out colorful shapes. This little cake is also the ideal spot for a birthday candle!
Pusheen Party Game Ideas
Without some purr-fect games, a Pusheen cat party would be incomplete. Here are a few to swoon over.
Grab some kitty litter candy
Fill a new, clean litter box with wrapped sweets instead of a piñata. Have a new litter scoop available, as well as a cat-themed party bag for each visitor. Allow each visitor to scoop the litter box and place their haul in a party bag for later consumption.
Pin the tail on the cat
This version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey is a popular game at children’s Halloween parties, but it may easily be adapted for a cat-themed birthday celebration.
Cat bingo is a fun game for cat lovers. There are a few distinct versions available on the internet. The winners will receive a couple of adorable stuffed cats.
Cats enjoy playing with balls. Organize a few different relay events with balls to get the party guests in the mood. Have the kitties, for example, push balls along a short race course with their noses or while on all fours like a feline.
