Okay so this was not planned. Like at all.
I was standing at CVS, half-awake, holding a basket with toothpaste I didn’t even need (why do I do that every time??), waiting for a prescription that was supposedly “almost ready”… yeah okay 🙄
20+ Updated Roblox Brookhaven RP Birthday Invitation (Free to Customize)
Meanwhile my kid is blowing up my phone like:
“did you finish my Roblox Brookhaven RP birthday invitations???”
“mom???”
“HELLO???”
So I’m like… fine. Fine. Let me just open Canva real quick.
Right there. In line. One hand holding my phone, the other holding snacks I definitely added out of boredom.
And listen… I thought I was just gonna “touch it up.”
Nope.
I basically redid the whole thing like a chaotic raccoon with WiFi.
Why I Even Bothered Fixing the Invites (Instead of Just Sending Them Anyway)
My Kid Was Not Subtle About It
Last year’s invite? I thought it was cute.
My kid? Absolutely not.
Apparently:
“that doesn’t look like Brookhaven”
“those houses are wrong”
“why is it so bright??”
Like… excuse me tiny design critic?? 😂
But also… they weren’t wrong.
If your kid is into Roblox Brookhaven RP birthday invitations, they know the vibe. It’s not just random houses and colors. It’s like… chill neighborhood energy. Slightly chaotic. Kinda minimal.
Not whatever I made at 11pm last year.
So yeah. I fixed it.
I’m Not Spending Extra Money on Invites, Sorry
Look, between:
pizza (that nobody finishes)
cake (that gets smashed)
random balloons (half will pop before the party even starts)
…I’m not adding “expensive invitations” to that circus.
So I did:
- Free Canva template
- Walgreens prints (like $0.20 each… bless)
Done. Moving on.
Also… Canva Is Dangerously Easy
This is where I got myself into trouble lol.
Because once you open it, you’re like:
“oh I’ll just change the color real quick—”
Thirty minutes later:
- new layout
- new font
- added avatar
- deleted everything
- added it back again
It’s a spiral. A creative spiral 😂
How I Actually Made the Roblox Brookhaven RP Birthday Invitations
Step 1: Open Template, Pretend I Know What I’m Doing
Customize Your Free Brookhaven RP Invitation Templates Here
Clicked a free template.
Picked one with:
street view
simple houses
not too busy
Because last time? WAY too busy. It looked like a carnival threw up.
Step 2: Add Details… Almost Forgot the Time 😬
I added:
name
date
location
…and almost forgot the TIME.
Like. The most important part??
I swear if I ever send an invite without the time, just revoke my mom card.
Step 3: Avatar = Instant Approval
Instead of using a regular photo, we dropped in my kid’s Roblox avatar.
GAME CHANGER.
Suddenly:
“okay yeah this is cool”
That’s it. That’s the bar.
What Went Wrong (Because Of Course It Did)
Text Was Microscopic. Why Am I Like This.
On my phone it looked fine.
Printed? It looked like you needed a magnifying glass and a prayer.
So yeah:
→ Made everything bigger
→ Added more spacing
→ Stopped trying to be “aesthetic” and started being readable
Growth ✨
The Neon Green Incident
I picked this super bright green thinking:
“fun! vibrant! kids will love it!”
Printed it…
It looked like a sad highlighter that gave up on life.
So I switched to:
softer blue
white
tiny bit of yellow
Way better. Way less… aggressive.
My Kid Said “It Looks Crowded”
And you know what?
They were right. Again.
So I:
removed extra icons
gave things space
stopped trying to fit EVERYTHING
Sometimes less really is more… ugh I hate when that’s true 😂
A Few Roblox Brookhaven RP Invitation Styles That Actually Worked
Not gonna lie, I tested a few vibes.
The Chill Street Scene
avatars just walking around
simple houses
This one = safe choice for younger kids
The “Night Mode” One
darker colors
a little moodier
Older kids think this is so cool (mine included)
The Clean Minimal One
This surprised me.
Almost no decorations, just:
clean layout
soft colors
avatar
And it still worked?? Like okay minimalist queen, I see you.
The Chaotic Color One (Proceed With Caution lol)
Bright, loud, cars everywhere.
Fun… but easy to mess up.
This is where I went wrong the first time 😂
Printing: Learn From My Mistakes Please
Matte vs Glossy (I Have Thoughts)
Glossy:
looks bright
kinda slippery
fingerprints EVERYWHERE
Matte:
softer
easier to read
feels nicer
I’m team matte now. No regrets.
If You Print at Home… Good Luck 😅
I tried.
Printer said:
“low ink”
Mid-print.
Classic.
So unless your printer is feeling generous, just go to Walgreens or something and save yourself the emotional damage.
Walgreens = My Ride or Die
Cheap. Fast. Done.
I uploaded, picked 5×7, and grabbed them later.
No drama. We love that.
Sending the Invites (Because Email Is Apparently Dead)
Email? Lol No One Opened It
I tried being organized.
Sent emails.
Silence.
Cool cool cool.
Group Chats = Immediate Chaos (But It Works)
Dropped the invite in a mom group chat.
Within seconds:
“so cute!”
“we’re coming!”
47 random side conversations
But hey, it worked.
RSVP System = Literally Just “Text Me”
I did NOT overcomplicate this.
No forms. No links.
Just:
“text me if you’re coming”
And that’s it.
We’re not running a corporate event over here 😂
Matching the Party to the Invites (Without Losing My Mind)
Decorations = Keep It Simple, Seriously
We did:
cardboard houses (very DIY, slightly crooked, it’s fine)
balloons matching the invite colors
little “street signs”
Nothing fancy.
Still cute.
Games = They Made Their Own??
I had plans.
Actual plans.
Guess what happened?
They ignored all of it and just:
roleplayed Brookhaven
ran around
yelled A LOT
Honestly? Less work for me.
Party Favors = Don’t Overthink It
I did:
Roblox stickers
candy
Done.
Kids were happy. No one asked for more.
The Part That Actually Made Me Feel Like I Didn’t Waste My Time
One kid picked up the invite and went:
“oh this is Brookhaven!”
That’s it.
That’s the whole win.
Not:
perfect design
not Pinterest-level
not “omg you should sell these”
Just… recognizable.
And my kid smiling like:
“yeah my mom made that”
Okay excuse me while I go cry in the kitchen real quick 🥲
Random Little Things I Learned (That No One Tells You)
Rename Your Files. PLEASE.
I had:
final.pdf
final2.pdf
FINAL-final.pdf
Guess which one I printed?
The wrong one.
Obviously.
Do a Test Print (I’m Begging You)
Would’ve saved me from:
tiny text
ugly green situation
Just print ONE first.
Learn from my chaos.
Phone Editing Is Fine… But Also Risky
Yes, you can make Roblox Brookhaven RP birthday invitations on your phone.
I literally did.
But also:
easy to miss details
harder to see spacing
So maybe double check on a bigger screen if you can.
Or don’t. Live your best chaotic life.
FAQs (From Other Moms + My Own Mistakes)
- Are these actually free?
Yes.
Just don’t click on the fancy paid elements unless you’re feeling generous.
- Can I really do this from my phone?
I did it in a pharmacy line while holding snacks I didn’t need.
So yeah… you got this 😂
- What size should I use?
I stick with 5×7.
Easy. Cheap. No thinking required.
After Party Thoughts (AKA Me Sitting in a Quiet House Finally)
Would I do it again?
Yeah.
Would I wait until the last minute again?
…also yeah. Let’s be real.
But honestly, making those Roblox Brookhaven RP birthday invitations myself?
It just felt more… us.
Messy, slightly chaotic, not perfect – but my kid loved it.
And at the end of the day, that’s kinda the whole point, right?
