Rebecca was very clear on this part: she wanted the Cinderella dress. Not just a princess dress. THE Cinderella dress—the big sparkly one, with gloves and the little blue choker. We found one online that didn’t cost more than my electric bill (thank you, sales section), and when it arrived, I swear she wore it for two days straight. She even asked if she could sleep in it “just for one night, please mommy, like in the story.” Who was I to say no to Cinderella?

As for the other guests, we told everyone it was a royal celebration and that “fairy tale attire” was welcome but not required. To my surprise, most of the kids showed up dressed like tiny Disney royalty. We had a Belle, a Rapunzel, and even one brave little brother in a knight costume with a foam sword. The pictures? Pure magic.
We also had a dress-up corner with extra tiaras and plastic jewelry, just in case someone forgot or wanted to feel extra sparkly. The moms may have borrowed a few for selfies, too. Now, between the royal attire and the decor, the only thing missing was a party fit for a queen—starting with the food.
