Okay, so this whole thing started on a totally normal Tuesday.

I sprinkled in little lion cubs, jungle leaves, paw prints, birds, and tiny safari details, but stopped before it turned into one of those invitations where you can’t even find the party time because there are leaves covering literally everything.
Been there.
Also… leave yourself room for last-minute notes.
Because somehow I ALWAYS end up adding stuff like…
“Wear clothes you don’t mind getting soaked.”
“Yes, parents can stay.”
“Please don’t bring gifts bigger than my kid.”
Okay… maybe not the last one.
…although I definitely thought it.
The layouts stay nice and clean too.
Kids immediately notice Simba.

What I Actually Had to Fix (Because Of Course Nothing Went Smoothly)

Except I picked this indoor photo that looked totally fine on my phone.

His face basically disappeared into the orange background.

So I swapped it with one from soccer practice where he was outside, bumped the brightness up a little, and BOOM.
Huge difference.
Natural light seriously saves everything.
Then came…
The font situation.
You know those cute handwritten fonts that look adorable until someone actually has to read them?
Yeah.
I used one for the address.
My husband looked at it for like two seconds.
“I literally can’t read this.”
Fair.
So I kept the fun font for the birthday headline and switched everything important—address, RSVP, time—to a plain, boring font.
Not exciting.
But grandparents text me way less now asking where the party is, so… worth it.
OH.
And don’t skip sending yourself a PDF first.
Seriously.
Last year I somehow typed 3:00 instead of 2:00.
Nobody noticed except me.
Thank goodness.
Now I always open the PDF before I send anything.

I’m a matte paper girl because fingerprints don’t show up as much.
Which matters because little kids touch EVERYTHING.
Glossy is super pretty too if you like brighter colors.
