If you’re printing at home, cardstock makes SUCH a difference.

Regular printer paper feels… sad.

Sorry.

It just does.

I almost always pick matte.

Mostly because Louise somehow leaves fingerprints on glossy paper before I’ve even cut the invitations.

It’s honestly impressive.

Professional Printing Services vs. DIY

If I’m making more than maybe 15 or 20 invites…

I’m tapping out.

Walgreens usually has 5×7 photo prints for around $0.20 each, and I’d genuinely rather let their printer fight that battle.

Staples is another favorite if you want thicker cardstock that feels a little more like a “real” invitation.

If you’re stuck choosing:

• Matte = softer, easier to read, doesn’t show fingerprints every five seconds.
• Glossy = colors pop a little more and photos look super vibrant.

Neither one’s wrong.

I’m Team Matte, but you do you.

Pinterest because moms over there have already figured out every DIY shortcut known to mankind.

Andrew made little cardboard “glitches” one year.

Nothing fancy.

Construction paper.

Scissors.

Done.

The kids spent almost half an hour running around the backyard collecting them while yelling they were “saving the world.”
