I’m gonna be honest…
Editing these in Canva is usually the easiest part of planning the party.
The hard part is remembering where I hid the tape from the last birthday.
I opened the template, swapped Louise’s name in, changed the age, updated the party details, and found an avatar that actually looked like the one he’s currently obsessed with.
Well…
Current for this week anyway.
The kid changes his Roblox outfit more often than I fold laundry.
I did have one little fail though.
On my computer, the bright yellow text looked super cool against this lime green background.
Printed?
Absolutely not.
It looked like the words had simply decided to disappear.
So I switched everything to white, added a skinny black outline, made the font just a smidge bigger, and scooted the party info down a little.
Problem solved.
Now I always print one copy before ordering the rest because I’d rather waste twenty cents than realize twenty invitations later that nobody can read where the party is.
Learned that one the fun way.

Printing Your Roblox Invitations: Tips for a Professional Look
I’ve done the fancy home printer thing.
I’ve done Staples.
I’ve done Walgreens five minutes before soccer practice.
Guess which one happens the most?
If I’m already running errands, Walgreens wins every single time. Their 5×7 photo prints are usually around twenty cents each, and every time I pick them up I’m kind of surprised by how nice the colors look.
If I need a bigger stack, Staples has been really solid too, especially if I want heavier cardstock.
Now…
Matte or glossy?
People ask this way more than you’d think.
I’m Team Matte.
Mostly because somebody always has sticky fingers. Usually Louise.
Sometimes Andrew.
Glossy definitely makes all those bright Roblox colors pop, but matte is easier to read under regular house lights, doesn’t show fingerprints as much, and somehow just feels more like a real invitation instead of a photo print.
But honestly? Both look good.
If glossy is cheaper that week…I’m not above letting the sale make my decision.

One of my favorite moments wasn’t even during the games.
A few kids were standing by the front door comparing their invitations before they even came inside.
Like they were trading Pokémon cards.
Louise looked so ridiculously proud.
One mom asked where I bought them because she wanted something similar for her son’s birthday.
When I told her I just edited them in Canva, she looked genuinely surprised.
That made my day a little.
Then, a week later, I noticed Louise had taped his invitation to his bedroom door.
I asked why.
He goes, “It looks like my game screen.”
Okay.
Worth every tiny edit.
