It Already Feels Like a Party Before Guests Even Show Up

One thing I noticed after making a few Bugs Bunny Invitation designs is how easy the whole color palette becomes.

When I redid these templates, I wanted them to feel less… dated.

Not modern enough that Bugs stopped looking like Bugs.

Just cleaner.

The backgrounds use soft blue skies instead of heavy patterns, the carrots are a little brighter, and I added more white space because once you start typing party details, invitations fill up fast.

The layouts also leave enough room if your kid has one of those wonderfully long names that somehow takes over half the invitation. Been there.

Editing Everything Was Easier Than I Expected

I always start with the birthday information first because that’s somehow the thing I forget.

Name.

Age.

Date.

Address.

RSVP.

Done.

Then I go back and make everything pretty.

Canva makes that part ridiculously easy.

My Tiny Oops Moment

Okay…

The first version looked adorable on my laptop.

Then I printed a test copy.

The orange text almost disappeared against one of the lighter carrots.

Oops.

So I switched it to a darker brown instead, bumped the font size up just a little, and suddenly Grandma could actually read it without holding the invitation at arm’s length. 😂

I also moved Charlotte’s photo because Bugs Bunny’s ear was accidentally sticking out behind her head like she had bunny antennas.

Nobody would’ve said anything…

…but I would’ve noticed forever.

I still print a handful because grandparents love putting invitations on the fridge.

Text message.

Where I Printed Mine

Walgreens is still one of my favorite quick options.

A 5×7 photo print is usually around $0.20, and I can swing by while grabbing shampoo or snacks anyway.

If I want heavier cardstock, Staples usually does a really nice job.

Personally…

I almost always choose matte cardstock because fingerprints don’t show nearly as much after thirty little hands pass invitations around at school.

Glossy looks brighter, though, especially if your design has bold colors.

Honestly, both look great.

After the Party…

The funniest part?

One little boy walked into the party holding the invitation and immediately yelled,

“Oh! It’s Bugs Bunny!”

Mission accomplished. 😂

Charlotte kept one invitation afterward and taped it inside her memory box with a few party photos.

That’s honestly my favorite part about making invitations myself.

They stop being just directions to the party.

They end up becoming part of the birthday memories too.
